Sri Lanka is the leading exporter of the world famous and beloved spice, cinnamon; It’s even mentioned in the Bible a few times! Cinnamon has many great health benefits and can be used for a multitude of things.
Let us pray for the people in Sri Lanka, that they would realize the amazing potential that is in them to be a multifaceted tool in the Kingdom of God.
In Malachi 1, the prophet Malachi declares that the glory of God will not always be reserved for Israel, but that in every place, His name will be made great, from east to west.
Let us pray today that that in every corner of Sri Lanka, People would come to glorify the name of Jesus Christ.
In Sri Lanka, the lotus flower (Nelum Mala) is known to be associated with purity, spiritual awakening and faithfulness. The flower is considered pure as it is able to emerge from murky waters in the morning and be perfectly clean.
Let us pray for the people of Sri Lanka, even though Christians make up for a small portion of the people here that they would be like that flower, bringing revelation of purity and faithfulness, that they would bring about spiritual awakening to those around them.
Sri Lanka over this last weekend has voted for a new government body; let us pray for love in the hearts of those taking charge, for wisdom, that the decisions they make will take Sri Lanka forward toward unity and healing as a nation

Let’s pray today for those out on the streets of Sri Lanka. We don’t know what circumstances led them there, but let’s pray together that they would meet God; that they would know wherever they are in their lives that God is ready to welcome them with open arms and that He loves them.

Let’s pray today for the parents of Sri Lanka. Raising a child is no small task but it is one that is paramount to change. Let’s pray for wisdom and guidance; for every parent to realize the power of raising a child in the knowledge of our Loving Father. That they would be led by the Holy Spirit from their youth.
Let us thank God for a beautiful country; we know He has made it with love and that it testifies to the wonder that is Our Creator. We see His glory in everything.
