The Altai Mountains stretch across Eastern Kazakhstan. It is said that this region is mystic, fabled, and holy. Here, religions intersect: Shamanism, Islam, Christianity, and more. It’d be easy to celebrate religious diversity, but may we bear in mind the spiritual realm is alive and active. Ephesians 6:12 tells us that “we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but… against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.” Let’s pray for the word of God to come alive and believers to put on the full armor of God to protect and engage in Kazakhstan’s spiritual battle.

Nepalis from all walks of life are hearing the Gospel and counting the cost of following Jesus. The risks are great: separation from family or even incarceration. Pray for strength to focus on eternity! #Pray4Nepal

For which of you, desiring to build a tower, does not first sit down and count the cost, whether he has enough to complete it? – Luke 14:28

Continue to pray for the refugee and internally displaced peoples in Iraq, Syria and other surrounding countries. So much pain, suffering and misery yet to be dealt with!

Matthew 9:36 When he saw the crowds, he had compassion for them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd.

Little-known fact: Tulips are not native to the Netherlands! Ottoman Turks cultivated them and guarded their beauty jealously for several hundred years before a European diplomat managed to smuggle bulbs out of the country in the sixteenth century. Today, millions of tulip bulbs are planted in Istanbul each spring, creating gorgeous displays across the city. When Jesus says, “Look at the lilies of the field and how they grow. They don’t work or make their clothing, yet Solomon in all his glory was not dressed as beautifully as they are” (Matthew 6:28-29), He wants Turks to know how priceless and lovely they are to Him. Pray that someone will be able to share this good news with a Turk today.

FIA officials forced me to have sex with main blasphemy accused, claims injured suspect

Today Pakistan is in turmoil.
There was a new blasphemy accusation this week, in which an 18 yr old Christian boy, Patras Masih, was taken into custody and beaten. His 24 Yr old cousin, Sajid Masih, was called in for interrogation, and also beaten, although they found no evidence against him. Those interrogating him also tried to force him to sexually abuse his cousin, but he refused. In desperation, Sajid jumped out the 4th story window to escape. He was in critical condition, but now the latest report is that he has succumbed to his injuries.
Today there were various protests, demanding justice, throughout the country of Pakistan, but most likely, their media will not give it any coverage. There was also an attack on Christians in the city of Faisalabad. Tensions are high. Persecution of Christians in Pakistan is increasing daily.
Many live in fear and oppression.

Lord, today we pray for the families of Sajid and Patras Masih. Give them comfort and may your Presence be with them in a powerful way. Watch over Patras, as he remains in custody. Lord, let Him hear Your Voice, and know that You are with him. We pray for all Followers of Jesus in Pakistan, that you will cover them with your Love and Peace, and chase away the fear. And we pray for those who are doing the persecuting- Lord, reveal Yourself to them, and forgive them of their sins, and set them free. In Jesus’ Name we pray, Amen.

(This article is disturbing, but the world needs to know!)

In the rural countryside, Kazakh women hold up an exquisitely ornate tapestry. Handmade and wonderful, their craftsmanship is only a mere portion of the Lord’s. Ephesians 2:10 reminds us that “we are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do,” so may this verse dwell in the hearts of artisans and creators in Kazakhstan. Let’s pray the Lord brings revelation to their hearts in a way that is familiar to them through their God- given, creative gifts.
