Christianity is considered a “poor man’s religion” in Bhutan. Please pray that the gospel would penetrate every strata of society. May kings and peasants call Him Lord.

Galatians 3:26 “So in Christ Jesus you are all children of God through faith.”

Kazakhstan is divided up into 14 different regions. One of them, what people call Treasure Peninsula, is the Mangistau Region. This southwest region that borders the Caspian Sea is rich with resources, tourism, and heritage. Let’s pray for a shift in perspective in the hearts of those residing in this region. As this gilded city displays outwardly extravagance and allure, may people come to know the Lord and “be encouraged in heart and united in love, so that they may have the full riches of complete understanding, in order that they may know the mystery of God, namely, Christ, in whom are hidden all the treasure of wisdom and knowledge” (Colossians 2:2-3).

Kala Namak is used extensively in cuisine of Nepal as a savory condiment added to chaats, chutneys, salads, fruit, raitas and other snacks. Pray that Christians in Nepal are salt and light to those who do not know the Lord-may they taste and see the goodness of Jesus. #Pray4Nepal

Will 2018 be a year of change in Iraq?

“It’s complicated.” This is a phrase that we often use…in the case of the future of Iraq and it’s government, it couldn’t be more true!
If you take time to read this article, it points out just some of the complexities facing the nation even after ISIS!

PRAY for leaders in the Iraqi government to come to Jesus for salvation. PRAY for leaders who have an interest in helping all Iraqis and reject the trappings of greed and corruption which is such a temptation.

1 Timothy 2: Pray for Leaders
“1 I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people— 2 for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness. 3 This is good, and pleases God our Savior…” -1 Timothy 2:1-3

Christians in Bhutan have asked us to pray for them to have discernment to know with whom they should share the gospel. When a Bhutanese neighbor begins to ask a Christian about Jesus, it can be difficult to tell if they are truly interested in truth or if they are informers wanting to send them to jail.

A visitor to any of the imperial structures in Istanbul needs to constantly remember to look up—opulent ceilings rival the jaw-dropping rooms, even the treasury. Some ceilings are covered with elaborately painted silk. Some are ornately decorated. FOURTEEN TONS of gold leaf adorn the ceilings of the nineteenth-century Dolmabahçe Palace (the ceiling in the photo is in the older Topkapı Palace). Turks have every right to be proud of the splendor of these buildings. But they can never call these sites home, any more than we could. The home they need has been built by the God whose wealth has no limits, who had them in mind when He created the universe—and he longs to share His home with them for eternity. Pray that many, many Turks will hear and receive this amazing news. “No eye has seen, no ear has heard, and no mind has imagined what God has prepared for those who love him.” (I Corinthians 2:9)

Even in the cities, mounds of purple flowers brighten the roadsides throughout Bhutan. We thank God for the beauty of Bhutan and pray that every wild blossom will serve as a testament to the love and care the Lord has for the people of Bhutan.

Luke 12:27 “Consider how the wild flowers grow. They do not labor or spin. Yet I tell you, not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these.”

Psalm 33:5 “The LORD loves righteousness and justice; the earth is full of his unfailing love.”

Christians in Bhutan face persecution, jail, and death for faith in Jesus. Pray for Christians to be bold in sharing their faith in spite of the danger. Pray for the Gospel to spread in spite of attempts to squelch it.

Acts 5:41 “So they went on their way from the presence of the Council, rejoicing that they had been considered worthy to suffer shame for His name.”
