O Lord, we thank you for blessing this land, and it’s people.

“With the Lord a day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years are like a day.” (2 Peter 3:8)

Update: Your prayers for the Christian workers brought them healing and a successful visit to their small group in a remote village! Although all could not attend the group, they were able to visit with each person individually and share the Christmas story. All desired to become part of a “Jesus society” and meet every Saturday to hear stories of Jesus.
The workers write, “The most difficult part about getting a house church established is ahead of us. Culturally, it is nearly impossible to get people to meet together at a specific time and place on a regular basis. Please be in prayer for this effort which will begin about mid-Jan. Please pray for an individual in the group who has asked for special prayer that he could stop drinking alcohol. Pray for those who have prior commitments but would like to be included in the new story group fellowship. Also pray for us that God would give us wisdom and power in our proclamation of the Gospel. Pray that the enemy would not be able to keep people from gathering together and that the seed of the gospel would not be stolen out of people’s hearts.”
Your prayers are treasured by these workers-May God Bless you for your faithfulness as intercessors! #Pray4Nepal

Father God, we ask you to protect the workers, and comfort those who mourn.

Family! Aunts, uncles, cousins, siblings, and especially grandparents—they’re what Turkish holidays are about. So in a few hours, those Turks who celebrate New Year’s Eve will gather with their families—the more the merrier. And they don’t just gather for holidays. Important decisions are made in the context of family. Marriage, career choices, where to live—all are matters for the whole family to discuss. So wouldn’t it be wonderful to see entire Turkish families make the momentous decision to follow Christ? Would you step out in faith and pray that this would happen? How many Turkish families can you picture coming into the Kingdom in 2018? “…he and his entire household rejoiced because they all believed in God.” (Acts 16:31)

Libyans desperately need hope as the ceaseless conflict continues to chip away at their homes and families.

Let’s pray that Libyans would take shelter in the hope of Christ.
He will cover you with his feathers; He will shelter you with his wings. His faithful promises are your armor and protection. ~Psalm 91:4

It’s not just churches and Christians that get attacked in Pakistan. In fact, most often, terror attacks are on fellow Muslims and mosques. Security screening are commonplace in every part of public life. Although security is necessary, our ultimate Refuge is in the Living God.
As the Prophet David prayed:
“Hear my cry, O God…
From the ends of the earth I call to you…
Lead me to the rock that is higher than I…
I long to dwell in your tent forever and take refuge in the shelter of your wings.
Selah.”
Psalm 61:1-4

When Elizabeth gave birth to John the Baptist, “her neighbors and relatives heard that the Lord had shown her great mercy, and they shared her joy” (Luke 1:58).
Join us in praying that entire villages will be saved in Bhutan. When one member of a community finds Jesus, we pray that neighbors and family members will see the hand of the Lord and find Him too.
